A Retrospective Exhibition of San Francisco's Lost Movement

SAN FRANCISCO 2007
Nov 30 , 7pm : Preview Gala
Dec 7,8,13,14,15 , 8pm :
the Centennial Celebration

This exhibition celebrates the history and works of the Elationists, providing a breathtaking glimpse into the ingenuity and artistry of one of the 20th century's most influential and overlooked movements in art and music.

Born from the ashes of the Great 1906 Earthquake and Fire, the Elationists found hope and possibility, even in catastrophe. At gatherings marked by high spirits, new ideas, and a mildly intoxicating chocolate elixir, these incredible artists transformed their shattered home into artwork and music as stunning now as it was then.

This retrospective treats visitors to the rediscovered collection of Elationist artwork, cinema, photographs, musical instruments, and poetry - complete with a re-creation concert and generous helpings of the Elationists' signature chocolate drink.
